Character Subclasses

Subclasses

Subclasses are optional add-ons characters can take that modify their main class's base functionality. Characters can have multiple subclasses, except for those which are clearly incompatible, e.g. Twin Digimon (Standard) and Twin Digimon (Jogress).

Quick overviews of the available subclasses are:

Twin Digimon (Standard)

  • Character has two Digimon partners.
  • Individually, a single partner is about half the strength of a standard, non-twin Digimon partner. See Evolution: Tiers for more information.
  • Each twin evolves normally, though the ability to jogress together can be purchased as an add-on.

Twin Digimon (Jogress)

  • Character has two Digimon partners.
  • Individually, a single partner is about half the strength of a standard, non-twin Digimon partner. See Evolution: Tiers for more information.
  • Twin partners can only evolve by jogressing together into incrementally more powerful forms, though the ability to evolve individually can be purchased as an add-on. See Evolution: Jogress for more information.

Gestalt Warrior

  • Warrior has a Digimon partner
  • Matrix evolves with partner into hybrid forms instead of using spirits

Twin Digimon (Standard)

` The character has two Digimon partners instead of the normal single partner. Individually, these partners are around half the strength of non-twin partners, but they show their true power when working together. The two partners evolve normally.

Twins

The character has two Digimon partners. These Digimon are likely related and possibly even hatched from the same Digitama. Unrelated twin partners are possible, though even more unusual than related twins.

Half-Strength

Individually, a single partner is about half the strength of a standard, non-twin Digimon partner. See Evolution: Tiers for more information.

Standard Evolution

Each twin evolves normally, though the ability to jogress together can be purchased as an add-on.

Twin Digimon (Jogress)

The character has two Digimon partners instead of the normal single partner. Individually, these partners are around half the strength of non-twin partners, but they show their true power when working together. The two partners can only evolve by jogressing together.

Jogress Evolution

Partners can only evolve by jogressing together into increasingly powerful forms. See Evolution: Jogress for more information.

Gestalt Warriors

Instead of harnessing spirits, the warrior has a Digimon partner with whom they can matrix evolve.

Matrix Evolution

The warrior can matrix evolve with their Digimon partner, forming a single entity with two consciousnesses. Their evolution line otherwise uses the standard Spirit Evolution structure, i.e. human/beast/fusion hybrid levels.

Restrictions

Gestalt warriors cannot collect or use spirits, and their partners cannot evolve normally beyond Child level.
