    Seo-Yun Jeong's Freeform
Upon meeting her, most people might describe Seo-yun as being intelligent, impeccably dressed, and courteous, though perhaps a bit aloof. Few people would describe her as a walking disaster, though that would be much closer to the truth.

To Seo’s credit, it really isn’t her fault that bad luck seems hang over her like a fog that swallows anyone who is unfortunate enough to get too close. It started almost immediately after she was born when the nurse at the hospital tripped and managed to drop her on her head. Seo was fine, but the nurse did manage to break her wrist trying to keep herself from falling. Two days later, Seo’s parents’ real estate business nearly went bankrupt when a property caught on fire right before it was due to be sold.

At this point, it seemed like these were unfortunate, but unconnected events, but the stream of misfortune only continued. She was involved in seven car accidents by the time she was five, varying from minor collisions to rollover accidents. Seo was well-known at the local hospital, ending up in the emergency room often enough that her parents were investigated for potential child abuse more than once.

Making friends proved to be nearly impossible as the other kids quickly learned that being around her was just asking for something awful to happen. No matter how often people claimed they weren’t suspicious or didn’t believe in curses, it was hard to ignore the multitude of accidents and injuries that occurred both to Seo and those close to her.

Over the years, Seo became resigned to it. Events that most people would find frightening became almost expected so it was easy to remain calm even when others were panicking. While she certainly was lonely, it was hard to blame others for not wanting to put themselves in harm’s way. She tended to spend most of her time reading, since that rarely caused trouble aside from the electrical fire that burned down half her middle school library. While she learned quickly, Seo’s grades usually were poor due to the frequency of lost assignments or test answers that were mistakenly marked as inaccurate.

The one thing that Seo found she could control was her appearance, which she always ensured was immaculate. She might still end up in the emergency room with yet another broken bone, but she’d somehow manage to look good while doing it.

Seo did manage to get into college, although her first-choice school lost her application. She ended up studying English literature, partially out of interest and partially because it was a field where she would be unlikely to cause much harm. Her various misfortunes continued until midway through her senior year where they dropped off sharply.

At first Seo simply waited for the next disaster, but a few months went by and nothing happened aside from a couple of minor inconveniences. She began to hope that her luck might finally have changed for the better until she was entering an elevator at her university’s library and the world changed. Seo froze as her surroundings turned to code and the elevator door slid closed, clipping her and causing her entrance to the Digital World to glitch.

    Thalia's Freeform
The last thing Thalia wanted was to get landed with some dumb goody two-shoes human. She had a good gig going on; she was cute enough in her Elecmon form that hardly anyone expected her to be conning them out of their hard-earned bits. There was no reason to even bother with other Digimon unless she wanted something from them. She’s spent the last several years lying, cheating, and stealing her way across File Island and she has no intention of stopping anytime soon.

It hadn’t always been this way. Thalia had left Primary Village an optimistic young Elecmon, intent on making it out in the world as an actor. That dream fell apart almost immediately. She rarely had the opportunity to audition for anything and even when she did, Thalia never managed to get a role in anything. It wasn’t due to a lack of talent; Thalia had learned early on that she was gifted adopting convincing personalities when the situation demanded it.

Frustrated, disillusioned, and broke, Thalia came up with an underhanded plan to make a few bits. She tossed a bunch of broken glass into a box and headed out into the street. Before long, Thalia spotted a Beetlemon that didn’t look like he was paying much attention to where he was going. With careful timing, she managed to get in his way so he bumped into her. Thalia allowed herself to be tossed to the ground, dropping the box. It was almost too easy to act distraught and pretend as though the broken glass had once been something important. The Beetlemon had almost fallen over himself to make things right and Thalia had walked away with a tidy profit.

While her first con was purely to make money, Thalia found that she absolutely loved it the feeling of tricking unsuspecting Digimon. There was a thrill when a Digimon completely bought into her lies that was unmatched by anything else. That the Digimon either never realized they’d been scammed or only figured it out after she was long gone made it even better. Before long, she was coming up with even more elaborate schemes and moving around frequently so nomon would catch on.

Then the humans started showing up. At first, Thalia was ecstatic; here were all these people who didn’t know how the Digital World operated, which meant they’d be gullible. They were the perfect targets. The one thing that Thalia wasn’t expecting to be saddled with one of her own. Perhaps it would have been one thing if the woman was willing to be involved in her scams, but one look at her told her that wasn’t likely to be the case. It also didn't help that one disaster after another seemed to happen whenever she was in the vicinity. The only solution was to somehow dump her back in their world as quickly as possible.
