Matsuri Sakurai's FreeformMatsuri never had a particularly special childhood. The much doted-upon daughter of her father the salaryman and her mother the housewife, Matsuri was never short on affection or wealth. Despite this, there was always something within the girl that craved excitement. She was just intelligent, attractive, and athletic enough to be popular in middle school, but she began to see her life as drab and uneventful. It wasn't like she was the prim and proper honor student, but she felt like she was keeping her true self locked away. She had craved something more out of her young adult life, and not long before she entered high school, young Matsuri made a decision that shocked her peers and parents. Young Matsuri decided to become a delinquent.
Now that she was "hanging with the wrong crowd", Matsuri felt liberated for the first time in her life. She got to say and do whatever she wanted... so long as she acted like she didn't give a damn about anything. But, just as she felt around her old peers, she felt pressured by her new gang to be someone she didn't quite want to be. She performed various illegal acts and thrill-seeking action, and during her grandmother's funeral, she was off getting arrested. She wasn't charged with anything, but her parents decided to discipline her by forcing her to live with and work for her grandfather, a priest and groundskeeper at an old Shinto temple shrine.
Between school and working at the shrine, Matsuri began to feel more at ease. She got along well with her grandfather, and he appreciated her help and presence now that his wife had passed. She had imagined a far more rigid lifestyle, but surprisingly, so long as she saw her duties just as chores, she was allowed to do whatever she pleased. Her stint as a delinquent had alienated her peers, but thankfully, she no longer felt the need to live up to their expectations and truly felt like she could do what she wanted to do. She spent the rest of her time in high school working at the shrine, and after she graduated, she decided to work there full time.
In mid-June, her grandfather had been feeling ill more often, so by then Matsuri had grown used to maintaining it. Hardly anyone ever visited, so she generally got to relax. One such day, she experienced a labyrinth event, being taken to wilderness of the File Island. Upon learning of her plight, she found herself at a loss of what to do, until one day, she discovered a small, run-down, (mostly) abandoned building. She, along with her Digimon companions Shinatsuhiko and Ikazuchi, decided on restoring this building and turning it into a small temple and rest stop for travelers, both Digimon and humans alike. Unfortunately, being located in the middle of Mt. Panorama off of a beaten trail that no one ever takes in order to climb to the top, the trio doesn't exactly receive its fair share of visitors. So Matsuri, Shina, Ika spend most of their days here, along with a Bakemon that claims to be possessing the grounds.
Shina's FreeformShinatsuhiko was always a stern, silent Digimon, even as a baby. While all the others would be off playing, it would be off on its own performing its own strange acts, what it would call training. Sometimes, it would attempt to bounce up a tree, and other times it would try to keep a pile of leaves on its head all day. Most of the other Digimon in Primary Village would avoid it due to its eccentric behaviors, but once Shina reached its second baby stage, no one could deny that it was strong. In fact, of all the Digimon of its relative age, only two Digimon stood out in measures of combat strength; Shina, and a loudmouth Wanyamon that went by Ikazuchi the Supreme Overlord of Great Powerfulness, though everyone just called him Ika. The pair managed to evolve into their child stages at nearly the same time and truly began to seek more power, but it was obvious that Shina was the superior Digimon in terms of raw combat potential.
Feeling the need to leave Primary Village in order to seek out greater challenges, Shina and Ika came across a lone human. They had heard that humans had been popping up recently, but after meeting this one, and after the taciturn fox and the stupid dog managed to get out some semblance of an explanation of her situation, the pair decided to travel with her. Shina decided to use the opportunity to become stronger, but soon began to find itself enamored by the weak human. Despite her weak human body, she carried herself confidently, always speaking her mind yet constantly, save for Ika's antics, keeping her cool.
Because Shina believes Matsuri as having the perfect warrior's mind, the Renamon now outright serves the woman while simultaneously using the tasks assigned to it as a means of training. Despite not being one for words, helping and protecting Matsuri has made Shina feel a joy like none other.
Ika's FreeformIkazuchi was always a loud, brash Digimon, especially as a baby. While all the others would be off playing, he would be busy being too awesome for words, displaying his greatness. Sometimes, he would jump from high places, crash, and only cry a little bit, or jump into a river and last, like, thirty seconds before almost drowning. He would avoid most other Digimon in Primary Village because they weren't nearly as cool as he was, but once Ika reached his second baby stage, no one could deny that he was strong. In fact, of all the Digimon of his relative age, only two Digimon stood out in measures of combat strength, Ika, and some quiet nerd called Shinatsu... Shinnytsukii... Ika just called it Shina. The two of them were able to evolve to their child stage really quickly, but Shina was a whole lot bigger, so it was only natural that Ika would lose to it in fights despite his awesomeness.
Shina decided to leave Primary Village, so it was only natural that Ika, who was the best, would leave as well. In fact, he decided to grace the Renamon with his presence. They met some weak-looking creature called a human. She claimed to be from another world, and even though the human was dumb and couldn't understand his awesome explanation, he decided to help protect this weak little human. After all, if Ika could become strong enough to protect this human, then he would truly be the strongest Digimon! But soon, he found that this human was really nice, always making sure he ate a bunch, plus she gave awesome belly rubs. Plus, there was this training where she throws a stick, and he goes and gets it back for her, and then she throws the stick again. Ika really enjoyed playing that one.
Even though Matsuri was really weak, Ika genuinely found himself wanting to protect her, and decided to officially become her guardian. He decided he would make sure no one could ever bring her harm, because if she was safe and happy, that meant Ika was safe and happy as well.
Shinazuchikatsuhiko's FreeformWhile fused together, their form contains the combined aspects of their personal traits, unsurprisingly. It retains Shina's serious nature and focused mind, and makes the most of Ika's confidence and strong will.
