    Benny Guzman's Freeform
Shortly after he was born, he was unlucky enough to get aphonia. Basically, muteness caused by injury to the larynx, in Benjamin's case it was from an infection. Essentially it was a pain in the neck to raise a child who could no longer let you know if he needed something vocally. If there was one trait he picked up from his parents it's noticing the details. They watch him like no one else does, it's really hard to describe. They know to pick up on cues to guess how things are going before confirming with him. Maybe it's just supposed to be his parents' job to pay that close attention, but he felt the need to pay the same kind of attention of detail to everything. Other people go on of how much it must suck that he can't speak. It's a bit inconvenient, sure, but he can't really miss something he doesn't remember having. Anyways, that's what waving, clapping, stomping, ASL, writing, and text-messaging are all for. Besides, if he really wanted to, he could get text-to-voice program on his phone if he ever felt the need to project noise as he communicated. The only time it gets annoying is with strangers, but most eventually get with the program he can't talk to them unless they are going to bother to read or hand him their cell number.

Naturally, when most people seem to place a heavy emphasis on voice for communication, Benny felt that he has to be that much clearer to people. This meant being open about his thoughts and feeling while expressing that in his writing style. He's often precise and honest when talking with people, usually not leaving much to the imagination of what he meant. He like being direct. That being said, he does have a good measure when to be blunt or soften or omit with what he wanted to state. Benny is keen for details, which led him to remember people are driven by motives and emotions, just like him. He usually can understand or at least imagine where someone is coming from and how they might make them act the way they are. He can appreciate how receptive he is could help or worsen someone's state-of-mind. The boy is more likely to be able to read someone and anticipate how an interaction may lead to. Most of the time, he would want to keep people in or help them get into a better mood.

However there are times he can't let go of someone's possible reason for how they are acting or get annoyed for another reason. He hates himself a bit for it as he can be quite the handful when his temper boils to the surface. The child wasn't the type to keep the fact he's angry to himself. It's obvious by his body language. Anger is shown through his tendency to stomp and kick the ground, as well as clenching his fists. He wasn't afraid to write insulting notes and hand them to his current antagonist. Though if mad enough, he might forego the note and sign the gesture that everyone in the world knows, for showing your displeasure for someone. His deal with not letting things go is one of the ways his detail-noticing can bite him in the ass. The boy has the tendency to hyper-focus. There doesn't have to be a trigger, like focusing on an irritation. This would cause him to press buttons by asking for personal details, forget to check his surroundings except the target of his fixation, or spend an exorbitant amount of time on a subject. It's not that focusing on details would always get him in trouble, just he may forget there is a larger picture to look at.

How he'd entered the digital world is simple: he slept his way through. He was on the Digital World the night of maintenance and waiting for a friend to come online. He got bored and felt his eyelids getting heavy, he thought to close his eyes and listen to music until a notification would wake him up. Unbeknownst to him, his friend was caught up in a family emergency. Benjamin was asleep long enough to be sucked into the digital world, only to find himself awakening because his clothes were getting wet from sweat.

After calming down, from the inevitable panic of being in a strange place with no recollection of getting there, he explored his surroundings. If the humidity and fauna wasn't a big enough hint, he had found himself in a middle of a jungle. He was rather slow going through, afraid of running into snakes even though no wildlife was encountered or heard. The boy didn't run into anything until he ran into Cutemon and Shoutmon, a pink bunny and a red lizard. It was difficult to communicate at first, as neither could get what he was trying to say with his hand gestures nor when he tried writing in the mud. Shoutmon realized he couldn't speak and got the talkative Cutemon to only speak in yes or no questions. Apparently, they were messengers who tend to serve in rural areas and smaller settlements. They offer to watch over him, for not all digimon are as nice as they are. Benny felt he could trust the two and agreed, which somehow granted him a digivice and all of them a d-terminal. Luckily, they figured out rather quick that the d-terminal allows them to talk through instant messages that he and Shoutmon can send. Unfortunately, Cutemon is unable to read and has to be told by Shoutmon what Benny wrote. Benny did come up with nicknames for the two, mostly because calling them Cute and Shout didn't sound right. Shoutmon was given the name 'Draco', because of her resemblance to the mythical reptile. Cutemon was called 'Eva', because it was the first thing he could think of and was unaware that, despite the appearance and voice, the cutemon was a proud male. Benny's goal is obviously to go home, but he is anxious of why he ended up here and what consequences it could bring for both worlds by being here.

    Eva's Freeform
This cutemon was a social bunny. He loved to speak to and for others. Speaking came easy for him because he enjoyed good and long conversations. He wasn't easily intimidated by others. The cutemon was too familiar with bullies and was tired of harassment. He would call bluffs and stick up for those being threatened.

Because his experiences dealing with bullies, he could easily become abrasive to those who are sarcastic and aggressive. He wasn't afraid to get argumentative, if he thought someone was unfairly of being a jerk. Because it was a subject of teasing, he gets quite upset when someone assumes he's a girl. He tends to get too carried away with a facade, which wasn't too effective. Not knowing his nickname is feminine, due to human naming conventions, he will be sure to give Benny an ear full once he finds out.

One fact about Eva that he hates about himself is his inability to read digicode. He doesn't know how or why, but it seemed to become a jumble mess whenever he tried to read it instead of catching familiar structures of words and phrases that most other digimon can see. But this fact is how he met Draco. He had received a letter, needed it read, and she happened to be right there. After that, they just happened to catch each other more often and would hang out. Eva did notice her more timid nature and found that she doesn't mind him speaking for her, assuming he could guess what she wanted said. He just happened to be on a wavelength with her and the occasional whisper would guide him to be the spokesman of the group. They just became tightly knit and he saw nothing wrong with that.

    Draco's Freeform
The shoutmon was a caring individual. She was supportive of her friends, always up for sticking by them no matter what happened to her. The digimon would worry over someone's well-being and generally either wanted to help or leave someone alone if it meant them being in a better mood. Not on the same level of paying attention to details as her human partner, Draco is observant. She wasn't impulsive or quick to act, until she has a firm understanding of what is going on. She often has to get Eva to chill out when he got excited over something.

One of her main problems could be her timid and passive personality. If in new situations or meeting new people, she could be rather slow in introducing herself or interacting. This was one of the reasons she lets Eva talk for her. Part of this problem stemmed from her not liking the sound of her voice. She shared a little bit of Eva's irritation of being misgendered, but it doesn't trigger her into a rage like it does her friend. It just she hated how growl-like and gravely it can come across. Mostly because she has seen instances of frightening or intimidating younger digimon with it. She would talk if she felt the need to, especially if Eva mouthed off to the wrong person, but she does it in a harsh whisper.

While not the oldest of rookies, Draco has been a shoutmon for quite a while. She often doesn't bring up much about her history, besides her initial shyness, because she wouldn't think it would be a fun story. In short, a Neon City native who was in love with someone since she was Baby level, found out how much of a jerk that friend has become, and enlisted in working in a postal service just get out into the world than rather deal with the fallout. There's been one digimon she shared this story with and it wasn't until they were a cutemon. She met Eva as a xiaomon, who begged her to read the letter he had received. She had replaced the postmaster of Primary Village, apparently that last postmaster delivering the letter and leaving before the xiaomon remembered he couldn't read digicode. That wouldn't be the last she saw the last of him. Whenever she was in town, he would end up popping up and talk a storm with her. She engaged with him, but it wasn't until later that Draco found out that she was being specifically being sought out is that she doesn't ignore or bully him like his peers. It was sometimes exhausting having to listen to the younger digimon talk, but she wasn't going to refuse her attention if she could give it. She knew Eva considered her as a friend, but didn't realize how much until she was reassigned. He was willing to leave everything he knew just to travel with her. Quite used to his nature and liked how he would sometimes be her mouthpiece, she agreed to have him accompany her. It's a blur how long they've been friends, but she wouldn't trade that time or friendship away for anything.
